Pond Scum

Okay, so I entered a knitting competition where you pay 8 euros and they send you 150g of wool, which you then have to use to knit something that cannot be considered an item of clothing. I found this a very thrilling idea, and so I paid my 8 euros and waited excitedly for my package to arrive. It arrived yesterday. Here's a photo:
Now, maybe opinions differ, but I have to say that I'm not particularly inspired by this collection. I handed it around at a rehearsal last night and asked what people thought - the most practicable response I got when I asked what I could knit with this was "Hmmm...maybe a public toilet?" I thought of what other things could be knit with primarily pond-scum green, and we eventually decided on something fishy... maybe a fish pillow or a mermaid or something.

I think I'll knit a pair of love-struck armadillos.

It could have been worse?
Armadillo sounds good, you could add a little bit red for the belt :-)

You're right. Now that I'm used to it I actually don't mind the colours. Just have to get started on that armadillo...

Hoho, that's funny. I wasn't pleased with my color combo either until I added a 3rd. I also considered the fact that I got cotton/acrylic and therefore washable. I will look for your Armadillo on the posting. I'll be posting on my blog about mine soon. Good luck!
